I came across this information on cucumbers, not sure where I got it but it has some good info on the benefits of the cucumber. Who would have ever known, right? So I wanted to pass it along, if you've ever heard of any of these tips before or you have some tricks of your own I would love for you to share.
- One cucumber contains most of the vitamins the body needs such as: Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
- Cucumbers are great for a "pick-me up" if you want to stay away from coffee or pop because they have Vitamin B and Carbs that can provide that little boost you need.
- No gum or mints after that delicious meal you ate with tons of garlic? Take a slice of cucumber and press it with your tongue to the roof of your mouth for 30 seconds. on the top of your mouth for 30 seconds use a cucumber to eliminate bad breath. It's the phytochemicals that kill the bacteria in your mouth which cause bad breath.
- If you were out drinking past your bedtime and think you might be in for a bad headache the next morning then eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed. It appears that cucumbers contain the sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes necessary to replenish any nutrients the body lost allowing you to wake-up without the headache.
