Desert Dwelling

Pizza
Grimaldi's is our favorite neighborhood pizzeria for Thin Crust Pizza
The Large Mediterranean Salad is great for starters a perfect size for two.   Romaine Lettuce, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Kalamata Olives, Feta Cheese, Red Onion and their Vinaigrette Dressing.
The Pizza we ordered had Sausage, Meatballs and Pepperoni, typically with sun dried tomatoes although I don't think we ordered them this time around.

Excuse the dirty plate, we reuse the Salad Plate - a fresh plate won't have the flavors left behind from the salad.

Grimaldi's also offers Pesto and white sauce on their pizza which I haven't tried but I love pesto so the goal for our next visit to to try it with the Pesto -  I'll keep you posted.

For Chicago Style or "Deep Dish" Pizza, my local favorite is Oregano's.  You might remember this pic from a recent post.
What's your favorite?  Thin or Thick?  What's the name of the pizzeria in your local area?

The Blue Adobe
Around here you'll find a variety of Mexican Restaurants everything from small family owned restaurants to the boutique restaurants with a gourmet twist.
One day the HB and I decided to try out a restaurant called  The Blue AdobeI had the prickly pair margarita yum!  Served in a tall glass with salt on the rim.
I'm not a huge fan of Tequila?  But this drink was delicious.
I had a beautiful bowl of some of the creamiest guacamole for an appetizer, it was so good I ate most of it by myself - the HB isn't a bag fan.
By the time I had my last bite I was too full to order an entree.

This is what the HB had...
Pecan Roasted Chicken Breast stuffed with Green Chiles, Fontina Cheese and Chorizo, smothered with an Amaretto Mushroom Cream Sauce.
Green Chile Potato & Sautéed Vegetables.  Keep up the good cook'in The Blue Adobe
