In the Spirit of Halloween

One year ago this October we went to Ann Arbor, MI to spend a few nights at a Frank Lloyd Wright house (my husbands favorite Architect).  The present owners rent the house to fans drawing people from around the world who want to experience "living" in the architect's house.  Here is the hubs looking through books and literature the original owners had and some the new owners have added.

In the spirit of Halloween I wanted to share this pic from LA WOMAN they have an awesome table scape example for a Halloween dinner party

Lara over at My Milk Glass Heart posted on a Haunted Doll House

Not sure who came out with these booties but I sure love them.  Picture courtesy of Small Shop Studio

Halloween - Around the Corner

Halloween is fast approaching - I like Halloween, what other time of the year does society "accept" a grown person dressed in a costume or just wacky make-up for that matter.  The hubs and I will apply goofy make-up on our faces if nothing else.

My latest obsession:

The Ballin Bow Ankle Boot

When I was a kid in the 70's there was a show called Isis, she was another superhero character like Wonder Woman but for some reason she wasn't as popular.

I totally forget about that show and how much I liked it until I came across this pic
Do you remember what show I'm talking about?  Take a peek?

Who was your favorite Superhero?

It's been a while

It's been a while...
You might remember I mentioned our Bathrooms are being renovated.  I still have stuff everywhere in my office/studio until the bathrooms are done.  The HB and I don't like to charge anything unless it's an emergency so we pay as we go along which is why it's taking longer than anticipated.  Oh well.  Although everything is somewhat organized I can't enjoy working at my PC while in organized chaos.

The hubs and I must have the only house on earth still using PC's not laptops - I've choosen to use spare money to continute buying the jewelry parts and components I need.  If I wasn't so determined to have a large kick-ass collection by the tenative launch date in January 2012 I would definately have a cool laptop.

Really want an iPad too.

Being away from my desk has allowed me to spend quality "me time" - vital for everyone of us and it's been nice I have to admit.

A few pics of our precious child:

Picture of the child this winter when we brought him home from the rescue.  He was completly shaven a few days we picked him up.

Sleeping next to mom on the his blankets, we have them everywhere, his hair is very long and gets on everything.

"I wish all the kitties on earth were as lucky as other kitties that are loved and kept indoors like me"

Lot's of new shoe and handbag obssessions to show you on the next post.

Have you ever had the juice of a prickly pear?
This is what a prickly pear looks like... they usually sprout in the spring but I saw these the other day driving down a street not to far from our house.

Remodeling mess

We're in the process of putting new counters and cabinets in both baths.  Stripped off the mirrors because the HB is doing the whole thing on his own, I don't ask, he knows what he's doing - I have stuff in my studio/office everywhere and in no order.

I've been enjoying the weekends which hasn't left much time for me to collect the stuff I want to share with you.

Running two households (the parental unit) and my own so you know I'm busy but looking forward to getting back on a regular schedule.

Nashville obsessed - not sure why but I have been lately and would love to visit there within the next year.  Maybe it's the culture, food also read somewhere Nashville has been rated one of the top 10 cities for music.
going to try one of her awesome recipes
Artichoke, Spinach and Goat Cheese Strata
Thinking of substitiuing the white bread for garlic flavoried croutons.

This past weekend was filled with a lot of errand running however I was able to squeeze some time with my local gal pals

And here I am on the right

Sometime last week the lovely Lara form My Milk Glass Heart made a comment like:
"Holidays will be upon us before we know it"
You know what I thought of?  This also means we have four full months away from a brand new year.   I tend to be a little goal driven here's a short list of a few things I want to accomplish by years end.
            • Finish entire jewelry line for a photo shoot
            • Reorder Business Cards (goof on the last order)
            • Complete the website
            • Use Facebook for Jewelry Designs by MiSA (I have a love/hate thing with Facebook)
            • Organize paperwork in my office
            • Tidy-up my Studio
            • Replenish my Sanity on a regular basis by doing more for me.
            • Finish reading the book in my husband gave me this past Holiday season
            • Buy and read “The Help” before it's available on On- Demand
            • Remember to take more pictures to share with you on this BLOG
            • I have a project I'm working on to print more photos to hang in our hallway at home.
